Broward Lost Kidney Trial to Start August 9, 2010
Fort Lauderdale, Florida -- June 10, 2010, In July, 2006, Harlan Ginsberg presented to the ER at Northwest Medical Center in Margate, Florida for a kidney stone. The hospital called in urologists Jason Perelman, MD and Mitchell Weinstein, DO, of Uro-Medix, Inc. to consult. The doctors attempted to remove Ginsberg's kidney stone using a routine cystoscopic procedure, during which his ureter was torn. After surgical attempts to repair the ureter, Ginsberg's kidney was ultimately removed.
After nearly four years of litigation, Ginsberg will get his day in Court in a lawsuit he brought against Northwest Medical Center, Jason Perelman, MD, Mitchell Weinstein, DO and Uro-Medix, Inc. His case is specially set to begin trial before Judge Kathleen O'Connor in Broward County, Florida Circuit Court on August 9, 2010.
