Fort Lauderdale Florida Personal Injury & Accident Law Firm
About Lawlor Winston
Our firm was originally founded in 1998 by attorneys John Lawlor and Andrew Winston. That original firm was dissolved in the wake of a departing shareholder, and a new partnership emerged in 2008, again led by Lawlor and Winston. This partnership thrived over the years due, in large part, to the two men’s shared passion for upholding the rights of Florida residents and pursuing justice against large insurance companies and powerful corporations that put profit before people. In 2011, the Firm's masthead changed to "Lawlor, Winston, White & Murphey" with the addition of partners, Anthony White and Ben Murphey.
Seasoned trial lawyers, the Lawlor, Winston, White & Murphey team has tried more than 100 jury trials and have obtained verdicts, judgments and settlements in excess of $100Million for their clients. Their commitment to helping Florida residents is the common theme shared by the entire team at Lawlor, Winston, White & Murphey, which includes five attorneys and a staff of ten paralegals, legal clerks and administrative personnel.
The success of the firm did not come by accident. It grew out of hard work and a true commitment to improve the lives of their clients. The firm was built to help all those in need, regardless of their situation. Most personal injury law firms are either large firms where the client gets lost in the shuffle, or small firms that are ill-equipped to handle large, time-consuming and complex cases. Lawlor, Winston, White & Murphey offers the personal attention of a small firm, along with the resources to fight even the largest insurance companies and corporations. The team is composed of individuals with diverse perspectives and experiences, lending diverse perspectives to analyze a case and pursue unique solutions that other firms may miss.
The firm’s commitment to the community does not end with legal representation. Lawlor Winston has been involved with local charities and organizations throughout Florida, including The Boys & Girls Club, the YMCA, the Guardian Ad Litem Program (representing abused and neglected children), and the COSAC Foundation (providing homeless relief). The Lawlor Winston team believes in giving back to the community, striving to make it a better place to live and work.
The attorneys are also involved with the Florida Justice Association, the Broward County Justice Association, the Palm Beach County Justice Association, the American Association for Justice and the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. By participating in these organizations, Lawlor, Winston, White & Murphey helps ensure that the fight to protect their clients is carried out at the highest and most effective levels.
